After a long day at school, students need a place to go to just to relax, grab a smoothie, and complete homework. Tropical Smoothie was a hot topic when talking about Bellevue’s Local Hangout. I tried to figure out what made Tropical Smoothie better than any other place in Bellevue by asking some students their opinions.

Coco D. (11) says, “Tropical is such a great place to go because it offers smoothies and also all sorts of food. I think it is better than your typical coffee place like Starbucks because everyone always seems to be there.” 

Ella D. (11) says, “I agree with Coco, their smoothies are delicious and just the overall environment is so much more welcoming and vibrant. It makes completing my homework so easy because I am able to focus in the space they provide.”

Pro-Tip: Allie O. (11) tells us that if you go to the Tropical Smoothie off Charlotte Pike that it is a lot cheaper than the Tropical Smoothie in Bellevue One.

Overall, Tropical Smoothie is an environment for students that is a fun, delicious, and vibrant place different from just your typical Starbucks down the road. It isn’t as crowded which draws in the academic student crowd in the later afternoons after the lunch rush and before the dinner rush. If you’re looking for a new study spot, maybe consider trying Tropical next time!
