Last Friday September 15, the (2-2) NCS varsity Eagles played their first official home game against (2-2) Jackson Christian Academy.
Before the game, senior DT Brant Lawless was listening to his pregame mix and said, “Rack it up”—meaning get ready for the game.
The Eagles started off fast, scoring 21 points in the first quarter (all by run plays).
In the second quarter, the Eagles scored again to extend the lead to 28-0 heading into halftime. At halftime Coach Andrew Shaw said we would buy the team “donuts” if their was a shutout on the board.
In the 3rd quarter the Eagles scored two more touchdowns to make close out the game 42-0 and improve to 3-2 on the season.
The next game, on Friday September 22, the Eagles will travel across town to face the 2-2 FRA Panthers, who are coming off a bye week and a higher division team.
Will the Eagles improve to 4-2 on the year? We will see Friday night. Go Eagles.
