Recently, one of our own Nashville Christian sophomores, Matt Bass, helped our school with his Eagle project. Now, for those of you who don’t know what an Eagle project is, it’s an activity that is planned and carried out by a Boy Scout as the last stage to reach the final and highest rank of scouting: Eagle. This project has to benefit someone or some area in the scout’s community. This is a very important step in the path to Eagle.
In his Eagle project, Matt and 21 other fellow scouts and leaders built a pavilion on the soccer field. It’s located about midfield of the soccer field. Of course the soccer team will use it as well as other various athletic groups. Now, Matt chose this spot because he knew it would get the most use. And it will prove most useful when it’s raining heavily or the sun is beaming down really hard because it can shield the players’ gear and\or the referees. The project took about 24 hours over the course of 2 days to build. It will definitely prove its usefulness now and in the future.
