It’s the last home game of the 2015-2016 season. The feeling is bittersweet, but the team is determined to make it one of the best games they’ve played. Everyone comes out to just hangout with friends, cheer on the team, and just have a good time. Plus, with it being Senior Night, the football team is expecting a big turnout.
Senior night has always been an honorary night for Nashville Christian School as a whole. Everyone comes together to celebrate the legacy the seniors have to offer as a participant of making history here at school. We bring the seniors and their parents together before the game begins to let friends, family, and classmates give their thanks to them for everything they’ve done during their time of attendance. Even though it was a celebratory night, it was more of a bittersweet moment for the seniors.
“It was kind of a bittersweet moment” said senior Austin Shelton. “I mean I was kinda sad knowing that this was probably the last game I’ll play at home in high school. However, it was a good feeling because we won the game and I got to fight for the win with my brothers around me. It was a cool experience.”
“I’m not really sad about it being my last home game just yet,” said senior Blake Barfield. “It hasn’t hit me yet. If we don’t have any playoff games at home, then i’ll come to the realization that last week’s game was my final game to play at home in high school. It was still a fun night and we won, so that was a positive look on things.”
