NCS Proves They’re The Dominant Eagle

On the Eagle’s first offensive play of the game, junior Xavier Myers breaks away for a 51 yard touchdown.

For two weeks straight NCS played a team called the Eagles. Last week NCS played Jackson Christian. NCS dominated this game from the start, as they put up 21 in the first quarter. NCS didn’t stop there as the final score was 42-0.

This was another great offense and defense performance by the NCS Eagles. The defense held Jackson Christian to only 171 yards on offense and the defense also recorded 6 sacks. Seniors Sid Morris and Jesse Watson were the leading tacklers with 7 apiece. The aeading tackler for the season and district is Jesse Parrish with 43.

NCS put on an offensive clinic with a total of 435 yards. Senior Chad Kinnard passed for 134 yards. Kinnard has a total of 541 yards and 7 TD on the season.

Another big contributor to those yards was star running back junior Xavier Myers. Myers had 227 yards on 9 carries and 4 TD’s. Myers averaged 25 yards a run for this game. Myers only needs 82 yards to complete a 1000 yard season and is leading the district in rushing yards.

NCS is back on the road this week as they will face FRA. This will be a out of district game for the Eagles but it will be a big game for the Eagles. FRA is 2-2 on the year, with losses coming from Davidson Academy and South Gibson. The Eagles are rolling right now and are ready for the big game waiting for them on Friday.
