When it comes to high quality Greek food on a budget you can’t beat the Greek Café. They have locations in Franklin, Brentwood, Murfreesboro, and in Nashville. The one in Franklin is on 2021 Mallory Lane Suite 102 Franklin, TN. 37067. The location in Brentwood can be found on 115 Penn Warren Dr Suite 600 Brentwood, TN. 37027. The third location is 2441 Old Fort Pkwy Suite M Murfreesboro, TN 37128. The one that I go to most often is their location in Nashville at 4004 Hillsboro Pike Ste # 100R Nashville, TN 37215. Prior to working on this article I didn’t have any idea that they had 3 other locations.
In terms of the food you can get a lot of bang for your buck. They have a $7.48 lunch special that comes with a Wrap sandwich (pita bread) including a choice of rice, and salad. The sandwiches themselves cost $6. The Wrap sandwiches comes with your choice lettuce, onions, tomatoes, dressing and cheese. The fillings for the sandwiches include beef or lamb gyros, souvlaki (marinated pork), and the mixed grill (gyros and chicken with grilled onions) just to name a few. Their choices of salads include tabuleh (personal favorite), greek, and house.
Whenever I eat there I get one of the platter choices. All the platters include rice, pita bread, and your choice of salad. The price ranges from $7.99 to $9.99. The options remain similar to the wrap sandwiches, so I don’t need to go over the options.
Unlike Anatolia, the Greek Café is faster and more budget friendly. The food is served on disposable plates with plastic utensils. This contrasts Anatolia that has somewhat similar food, and is more of a high end restaurant geared towards sit-down meals. Although the food is cooked fast, the quality doesn’t suffer. My mother and father said the food is on par with the street food they had in Athens.
