Ron Wyatt was an archaeologist who devoted his life to searching for lost Biblical sites and relics. He died in 1999, but before doing so he found many sites with solid evidence behind them that they might be the real thing.

Some of the sights Ron found included the remains of Sodom and Gomorrah, sites from the exodus, the location of the Red Sea Crossing, the real Mount Sinai, Noah’s Ark, and even the Ark of the Covenant.

Many of Ron’s claims have solid evidence. Sodom and Gomorrah perhaps has the strongest evidence to back it up.

Sodom and Gomorrah was the city burned by God to punish the wicked behavior of its citizens. At the place which Ron Believes to be Sodom and Gomorrah, there are formations which look very much like city walls that are composed entirely out of brimstone and ash. When Ron tried to burn material within the city, it would simply not set fire because it had already been burned away completely by God.

Mary Nell Lee, Ron Wyatt’s married to the late Ron Wyatt, said “It’s a difficult time to be a Christian because the media is very antagonistic to people of faith. The news, the TV programs all present it so negatively. Today it’s very hard to live your faith openly without ridicule and even persecution. I think God has preserved these sites for someone to find to help give Christians today faith that these Biblical events really did happen. They help to strengthen our faith.”

The other sites which Ron discovered also have similarly compelling evidence, but the most interesting site he claims to have found is the Ark of the Covenant.

Coach McPherson, a Bible teacher at NCS, said, “It’s frustrating that Ron can’t provide evidence, so there has to remain some doubt. On the other hand, I don’t see how someone could have made all this stuff up. If he did make it up, he’s the biggest liar with the most creative imagination in the world. The other finds do have visible evidence behind the claims, whereas the Ark of the Covenant does not.

Overall, Ron Wyatt’s archaeology is very interesting. Many believe his claims, while many disbelieve them. It is up to the individual to decide if they believe him or not.
