Eagles Ends the Week of April 9-13 With a Draw


Last week the Eagles Soccer Team had 2 games. The Eagles faced Mount Juliet Christian and Lead academy. Mount Juliet was a home game for the Eagles and started really good for them to. The Eagles were playing so great defense and it reward them halfway in the half when striker Mente Rudolph shot a sniper shot over the goalies head to make it 1-0 at the half.

MJCA came out strong in the 2nd half playing great defense which lead them to opportunities early in the half and captized,MJCA scored two quick goals to give them the lead 2-1. After the two goals the Eagles defense tightened up, and the strikers and midfielder got some shots but none where going in. Late in the game the Eagles defense broke and MJCA scored a nice shot to get them the win 3-1.

Jordan Williams said about the MJCA game, “It was a very tough game, I thought we played great in the first half but we struggled in the second half and it was very frustrating because we played good.”

On Friday, April 13th the Eagles headed to Lead Academy. The eagles were now on a 3 game losing streak and needed to put an end to it. The Eagles struck first with a great goal by Ian Rogers to put the Eagles up 1-0 but Lead Academy answered right before the half ended making it 1-1 at the half.

The Eagles came out right were they started, Brook Cummings had a nice goal as it curled in the goal, but Lead answers with two goals late in the to make it 3-2. The Eagles were desperate for a goal when Lead commit a foul in the box the eagles got a PK. Zach Clark took the PK and nailed it making the game a draw 3-3
