We are in the final stretch of this crazy school year, and I can tell you…I am so ready for this year to be over. This time of year is truly a test of my patience. It’s so easy for us to become stressed and overwhelmed during the final stretch of school. We are all being loaded with information, study guides, test dates, final due dates, and the list goes on.
Maybe you have an AP exam coming up in the next couple of weeks, or your Multi-Genre project is due soon. You might be struggling to understand that final math lesson before the big test. You may be the kid who is trying their best to finish fundraising for your Scotland and Ireland trip. You could also be a senior who is nervous to move on into the next chapter in life. Whatever your road in this moment, take a look at the positive side: You are almost finished.
The Bible says in Matthew 11, “Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.” Jesus truly is the answer to our stress. We can spend a million Saturdays at home resting, but if we don’t have Jesus, we aren’t experiencing the rest we truly need. Put your Trust in Him, and lay all of your stresses in His hand. He knows exactly what you need. Spend the rest of this school year, or to some, the rest of your time on this campus, to live your life for His glory! You will feel so free if you give it to Him.
Enjoy the next few weeks, and learn to smile through the stress. Summer is just around the corner.
