During the archery tournament on March 28th, junior Kendall Clayton got 1st in his category while sophomore Caroline Armstrong and freshman David Hamilton got 3rd in theirs out of 32 participants from other schools.
The way the archery contests are arranged is 16 targets are lined up and each contestant shoots nine arrows at a distance of ten yards and then at fifteen yards. After they have finished shooting the total points scored are tallied up.
The archery team wants to fund the building of a range on campus, so the team is always looking for donations. Overall the team is very excited about next year, hoping to get even more students interested in the sport, especially since the tournaments are year-round.
