Last week in Chapel, we learned about four ways we can show love to other Christians and about how not to complain, criticize, gossip, or lie. These were the four main topics Jeff Palk discussed in Chapel. He emphasized these four topics, explaining that we, as children of God, act like them and even attend a Christian school. He used this Bible verse from Phillippians 2:14-16 “Do all things without complaining and disputing, that you may become blameless and harmless, children of God without fault in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world, holding fast the word of life, so that I may rejoice in the day of Christ that I have not run in vain or labored in vain.” It shows how, as Christians, we can live in this troubling world. It shows how we should always be true to the one and only God. One thing that Juli Kirch learned from the lesson was, “The way God wants us to live life is not the way that we are living now. We shouldn’t be complaining; instead, we should be living stress-free, as God intended. We should not be going around telling lies and gossiping about others; instead, we should tell the truth and make it a good thing, not a bad one. And with criticizing, we should not be doing that, like the Golden Rule, treat others the way you want to be treated.” This message is an effective way for Juli to understand the lesson Mr. Palk discussed. Instead of being negative, be positive and treat others the way God would want us to treat them. Mr. Palk is an amazing teacher and steers us in the right way so we can be just like God. Nashville Christian School provides a great way to learn about the Bible.
