One of the new classes at NCS this year is the Media & Broadcasting class in the high school. One of the major projects the class produces is the live broadcast via streaming video of various sporting events throughout the year on the NFHS network. Anyone who wishes to watch one of these broadcasts–or the recorded versions after the event has ended–will need to create an account on the NFHS network website. Creating an account is free.
Normally watching any live event on the NFHS site requires buying a subscription. But due to the generosity of the Eagle Parent Association, no one has to buy a subscription this year to watch. Playoff games are an exception to this because of TSSAA rules, so a subscription will be necessary to view those events.
When creating a free account, there is a procedure which will avoid having to go through the pay-wall:
- Instead of clicking on the “Join Now” button on the main NFHS network page, click on the “Sign In” link in the top-right corner of the page.
- Once you are on the “Sign In” page, click on the “Sign Up for Free” link at the bottom.
- Now all you have to do is enter in your information and you are ready to watch some videos–live or recorded.
