For NCS students Spring break is next week, March 12-16th. A hot spot for spring break is the beaches, down south in Florida or maybe a trip to New Orleans to walk down Bourbon Street or maybe a stay vacation in Nashville there are many things to do.
One of the most visited spring break spots is Panama City, Florida. The city is known as the “Spring Break Capital”. They welcome about a half a million spring break people each year. Panama City has nice beaches up to 30 miles of white sands to explore and they also have lots of attractions like dolphin sightseeing, snorkeling and mini golf. Also, if you go during spring break, you’ll miss the jellyfish that become prevalent in the late summer.
Tyler Demonbreun (11th) talked about what he does at the beach, “ I like to throw football on the beach and play spikeball and just relax on the beach.”
Another hot spot for spring breaks in New Orleans, Louisiana. During the spring time it has nice temperatures in the 70s. There is always a party going on in New Orleans; plus, you can enjoy the history of the town. There are a lot of things you can do in New Orleans like eat some creole food, visit the French Quarter, take a swamp tour and visit the WWII museum.
But, you can also just stay in town for Spring Break. Nashville is one of the most visited spots in the US with a lot history and country music. You could visit the Ryman Auditorium, the home of the Grand Ole Opry, or you could just visit the Country Music Hall of Fame or maybe the Honky Tonks—or just go to watch a Predators game.
Jesse Parrish (11th) shared what he is doing for spring break, “ I stay home and work and hang out with my friends.”
