Reasons why the Sonic Movie 2 and the Mario Movie will both be equally good

– The franchise elements based around both films

Sonic Movie 2: When the first Sonic Movie poster was revealed in late 2018 it was a disaster and everybody hated it especially SEGA. But the director Jeff Fowler cared so much about the fans and what they wanted, they made changes to the character for a few months. They delayed the film to February 14th 2020 and released a new trailer in November 2019 that got all the praise and love from the fans. Once the movie was released in theaters it was a big success. Because of their careful attention to detail and listening to fans we know that the next Sonic movie will deliever.

Mario Movie: The Live action Super Mario Bros. movie was released in 1993 and it was not a success with the fans due to the characters not staying true to their video game incarnations, lack of source material, and the plot did not follow the games. 29 years later Nintendo announced that they’re collaborating with Illumination Entertainment to work on an animated film starring Mario being produced by Shiguero Miyamoto; the creator of Mario, and Chris Meledandri; the founder of Illumination. because of its collaboration with nintendo and the makers of the minions some fans are very concerned about this film and some are very excited for when it releases in Holiday 2022.

– The Voice Actors

Sonic Movie 2: Paramount went into the right direction on casting the voice of Sonic The hedgehog, Ben Schwartz. In the post credit scene of the first film we saw our first preview of Miles “Tails” Prower and he was voiced by his voice actor from the games Colleen O’Shaughnessey, when the sequel was in production the Illuminerdi (most reliable source on fandom stuff) later confirmed that Knuckles the Echidna will indeed be apart of the upcoming film and that lead Paramount to find a voice actor for knuckles who can sound serious in nature but gullible at times. Fans were rooting for Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson to be the voice of knuckles, but apparently he was to big of a star to take the role. In February 2021, there was news that Aquaman and Game of thrones star Jason Momoa was offered the role of Knuckles at the time, however we never got any updates about that and it seemed to fall through, as the sequel was being filmed from march to july of 2021 Paramount still didn’t have anyone to voice knuckles yet. In August of 2021, Idris Elba made a post on his twitter and instagram showing knuckles’ hand captioning it “Knock Knock #SonicMovie2 #Knuckles” meaning that he took the role of the red Echidna. in December of 2021 when the Sonic Movie accounts on twitter and instagram hinted to us to get ready for the trailer that would soon be out Colleen O’Shaughnessey officially announced that she will be reprising her role as Tails in the sequel. Looking forward to the iconic trio Sonic Tails and Knuckles being selected with solid VA’s for them and Tails’ Video Game actor this film will succeed.

Mario Movie: During the Nintendo direct on September 23rd, Shiguero Miyamoto announced that he has been working with Illumination to release an animated Mario movie, he announced the release date for the film coming to theaters on December 21st 2022 and he also revealed the film’s cast members who will voice Mario and his friends. Chris Pratt as Mario, Anya taylor-Joy as Princess Peach, Charlie Day as Luigi, Jack Black as Bowser, Keegan Michael Key as Toad, Seth Rogen as Donkey Kong, Kevin Michael Richardson as Kamek, Fred Armisen as Cranky Kong, Sebastian Maniscalco as Foreman Spike, and Mario’s video game voice actor Charles Martinet will be doing surprise cameos in the movie, but not voicing Mario. Fans are very concerned about why Illumination didn’t have Charles voice Mario rather than Chris Pratt. It seemed very unlikely to imagine him lending his voice to the Italian plumber, but Pratt shared on his instagram that Being the voice of mario was his dream come true because he played Super Mario Bros. when he was a kid. However, Meledandri said that Mario won’t have an Italian accent in the movie not saying “Let’s A Go!” but when Melendandri heard Pratts audition for the character he said it was “Phenominal”, but Miyamoto is not worried about this film because he and Medandri know how to go along with doing something different for the character even if its different from making games. With all these celebraties voicing these iconic characters, we’re all looking forward to seeing how this movie will do and to hope that it will win over critics.

Final Conclusion

With these films both being based on their franchises and there elements, I truly believe that these two movies will do very well and to hope that we get to look forward to new things in the future of video game film adaptations./
